i have 1GB internet and i was wondering if by syncing gmail would that mean i was always on the internet if my google mail was on? or does gmail app not need the internet?

I use gmail, google accent, and facebook apps, on my android, but they take too long to automatically refresh and send me notifications. Is there another app that can automatically refresh these apps so I can stay updated by the minute? I’ve tried the send by e-mail to report, but it’s just way to messy. [...]
