Windows live messenger chat window not appearing in Windows 7?

When I click on the person that I want to talk to, the chat box won’t come up. But, if I go my pointer over the Windows Live thingy in my task bar, I can see the chat box in that list of icons (in view of the fact that it stacks) but when I click on it, it just won’t grow. Help is appreciated, thanks.

Eh too terrible. That’s what you get for buying Windows 7.
