i think yo uhave Norton Internet Security .. well its not that good program as much as its annoying .. anyways , just go to the firewall option in Norton Internet Security options and go to blocked applications .. remove yahoo messenger from there .. 

if this didnt work just uninstall your norton and install Symantec Corporate edition its fantastic i&#039;m using it on 20 machines in my lab... just make sure to keep it up to date ..
